NBC George to the Rescue Restorative Garden for Injured 911 Worker

“George to the Rescue” is a program hosted by George Oliphant on NBC that brings a team of volunteer designers and contractors to “rescue” the homes of deserving people. One such “deserving person,” is Kevin Kennedy, an iron worker. In 2010, Kevin broke his neck after being hit with a steel beam while working on the new Freedom Tower at Ground Zero. Fortunately, Kevin recovered but was unable to finish a big home improvement project he had started before the accident.

Artemis and NBC solicited generous donations of all labor and materials from local and national companies which made the project possible.
